Tour Plan

The journey starts with a scenic drive from Nairobi to the northern Kenyan region of Samburu National Reserve. You will admire the shifting views during the five to six-hour drive. After arriving, check in into your camp or lodge and eat a hot lunch. Take your first game drive in Samburu, a unique reserve with distinctive vegetation and wildlife, in the late afternoon. The Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and Beisa oryx are the "Samburu Five," and they all live in Samburu. Other animals like cheetahs, lions, and elephants will also be visible. After dinner, head back to your lodging for the night. Accommodation: Samburu Sopa Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner

Following breakfast, you will spend the whole day discovering Samburu's abundant animals and the rugged beauty of it. From broad grasslands to riverbanks, the morning game drive will show you a variety of scenery. Expect to witness lions relaxing beneath acacia trees, huge herds of elephants, and a variety of birds, including the secretary bird and the violet woodhoopoe. You will go on an afternoon game drive to further explore the reserve's environment after lunch and a midday break. Watch for predators like hyenas and leopards, and take in the breathtaking views as the sun sets. Go back to your lodge for dinner and spend the night there. Accommodation: Samburu Sopa Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

After breakfast, you will travel for approximately four to five hours to reach Lake Nakuru National Park. Though their numbers vary with the seasons, Lake Nakuru is well known for the large flocks of flamingos that fill its alkaline beaches. After arriving, have your hot lunch before going on a game drive in the afternoon. Along with the flamingos, other wildlife can be seen in Lake Nakuru, such as giraffes, waterbucks, and rhinos. Additionally, you might see endangered Rothschild giraffes or leopards. Later head back to your lodge for dinner and overnight. Accommodation: Ziwa Bush Lodge/Lake Nakuru Lodge/Nakuru Sopa lodge/Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

You will start your journey to the Maasai Mara, the crown jewel of Kenya's safari parks, after an early breakfast. Check into your lodge or camp when you get to the Mara, eat lunch, freshen up, and then go on a wildlife drive in the afternoon. Millions of zebras and wildebeests migrate over the plains and across Mara River in search of better pastures during the Great Migration, which makes the Maasai Mara famous. Maasai Mara provides amazing opportunities to see wildlife throughout the year, including the Big Five (lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, and rhino). With more than 450 different bird species, including vultures, eagles, and ostriches, the Mara is also a birdwatcher's paradise. After a fun game drive in the evening, head back to your lodge for dinner and the night. Accommodations: Mara Maisha Camp/Jambo Mara Safari Lodge/Keekorok Lodge/Enkorok Mara Camp…. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

You will spend the entire day exploring the Maasai Mara after an early breakfast. The vast savannah grasslands and open acacia trees of the Mara are perfect for observing herds of buffalo and wildebeest as well as predators like cheetahs, lions, and leopards. The lilac-breasted roller and martial eagle are among the many species of birds that may be found in the park. You will pause by the Mara River to have a picnic lunch. Proceed with your game drive in the afternoon, then head back to your lodging for dinner and your last night in the Mara. Accommodations: Mara Maisha Camp/Jambo Mara Safari Lodge/Keekorok Lodge/Enkorok Mara Camp…. Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner

You will have an optional activity of visiting the Maasai Village to appreciate the culture of this ancient tribe by dancing with the Warriors, witnessing the women milking, and having a tour of their houses. After an hour or two, depart the Maasai Mara and return to Nairobi, marking the end of your 5-day safari. Depending on your departure time, you can enjoy some leisure time in Nairobi before catching your flight or continuing to your next destination. Meal plan: Breakfast and Lunch
