Tour Plan

A morning pickup from your hotel and a quick drive to Nairobi National Park. With the skyline
of Nairobi as a backdrop, this unique wildlife sanctuary is only 10 kilometers from the city
center and provides an absolutely wild experience. You will go on a game drive in the morning,
when animals are most active and hence the greatest time to see them.
A diverse array of animals, including lions, black rhinos, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, impalas,
hartebeests, and ostriches, may be found in Nairobi National Park. More than 400 species of
birds have been identified in the park's savannahs and riverine forests, including secretary birds,
crowned cranes, martial eagles, and herons.

After your game drive, you’ll head to the nearby David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, which
opens to the public for one hour each day (11:00 am – 12:00 pm). Here, you’ll watch rescued
baby elephants being bottle-fed and playing in the mud, while their dedicated keepers share
touching stories about their rescue, rehabilitation, and eventual reintroduction into the wild. It’s a
heartwarming experience and a chance to support an organization deeply committed to
conservation and wildlife protection.

The final stop of the day is the Giraffe Centre in Karen, home to the endangered Rothschild’s
giraffe. This conservation center offers a fun and educational experience where you can feed the
giraffes by hand from an elevated platform and even get a slobbery giraffe kiss! The center also
has a short nature trail and informative displays on giraffe conservation. Birdwatchers may also
enjoy spotting warblers, doves, and sunbirds around the lush grounds.
After an immersive day spent with Kenya’s wildlife and conservation heroes, you’ll be driven back to your hotel in the late afternoon or early evening, bringing your Nairobi day tour to a close.
